The nerve complex called the lumbosacral plexus innervates the pelvis and the anal area. Due to the seriousness of the pelvic infection (PID), it is not uncommon to still be experiencing nerve pain from that complex to the anus.

The anal pain may be referred from inflammation in the pelvic tissues. However, did your physician or gynecologist perform a rectal examination to rule out anal infection or a fissure or perirectal pathology such as a perirectal abscess? In the meantime try sitting in hot(not too hot water and take acetaminophen or ibuprofen as needed. Notify your MD that you're still experiencing anal pain
