It is difficult to make a correlation between bowel movement and painful urination (dysuria). So do you have pain with voiding when sitting on the toilet or just only during bowel movement? Is voiding completely normal (good stream, no pain) on standing? Are your bowel movement normal? Whatever, a urinalysis needs to be done first for ruling out bladder and prostate issues.

It is possible that your prostate gland is enlarged of inflamed so hard stools in the rectum put more pressure on it and constrict the urine passage causing discomfort. Suggest a prostate exam with your health care provider and a urinalysis to look for increased cells or bacteria.
