A member asked:

My 92 year old mom has cataracts, she is very healthy otherwise.. perfect blood sugar and no diabetes, but my sister thinks just eating sugar caused her to get them, can this be true, or is it just a natural aging problem?

No, it is just an aging phenomenon. Good Luck

Developing cataracts is part of the natural aging process. Most people would have already had cataract surgery by age 92. Just eating sugar (or any other food group) is not the cause of cataract at this age.
