Hard and painful neck mass for over 2.5 months on left side. ultrasound revealed a "calcified " mass. and blood tests were normal. neck hurts and slightly swollen lymph nodes on left side. pain radiating from ear to collar bone. heat/ pain in ears?

I would think the next step would be a CT scan of the neck. Findings indicate a chronic process. Concern would be for malignancy of the left lobe of the thyroid gland. A biopsy will most likely be recommended to obtain a tissue diagnosis. An experienced head and neck surgeon should be involved in your care.
