You need both.traditional tooth brushing gets 65% of the plaque and bacteriae but 35% of it is left in between the teeth(interproximal spaces.) It generates cavities and halitosis ( bad breath). If you are using water pick then there is no need to use Dental Floss . Brushing before going to bed and in the morning after breakfast is good .The instruction to use electric tooth brush will be in the instruction manual..
