I've had a stitch-like pain in my right abdomen, level with my belly button for 6 months. comes and goes daily (more frequent lately), mild to moderate. abdomen not tender and, apart from gurgling sounds, no other symptoms and feel fine otherwise?

If you have concerns about this ongoing but mild discomfort consult a physician or abdominal surgeon for evaluation and advice. You could have a tiny umbilical hernia. If you've had previous abdominal surgery, adhesions are a possibility. I wouldn't expect simple gas pains to always occur in the sane place.
