Could be: GERD usually affects the esophagus, there may be an associated stomach symptoms like gastritis or ulcers. I will recommend seeing a gastroenterologist to do an upper scope and evaluate your esophagus and stomach, if symptoms not getting better.

Gerd and could have: Gastritis. Usual management will be 4 to weeks of trial proton pump inhibitor, GERD standard precautions, if smoker consider quitting, Upright after meals, regular small meals, use of antacids. If treatment fails GI evaluation is indicated
