A member asked:

I have foraminal stenosis at my l5 nerve root due to grade 2 spondylolisthesis. recently ive been experiencing a pretty constant internal buzzing/vibration feeling in my calves, ankles, and feet on both sides - is this from my stenosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not necessarily, unless you possess bilateral nerve root compression. Need to objectify and recommend EMG/ NCS to evaluate L5 vrs peripheral neuropathy. A long shot consideration is a LUMBAR stenosis, or compression of cauda equina, both unlikely based upon your posting.
