For gi doc please. had good colonoscopy this month-5/12. yesterday saw 2 very tiny red liquid specs of surface of stool. stool color normal. had pizza 4 days prior. can pizza cause red liquid on surface after 4 days?

I'm sure that your gastroenterologist wouldn't attribute the red liquid specs on top of your stool to the pizza unless you ate lots of red pepper or a huge amount if tomatoes on it. Otherwise these could have been very tiny amounts of blood from hemorrhoids or a small anal fissure. In any case it's not a serious issue. If these specs continue a simple stool test in the MD's office can detect blood
