Hello doctors, for 9 weeks i have had abnormal stool. the first stool had white thick 3d fibers coming out, almost like sesame seeds. i still have micro white 3d fibers. 4 ova&para test came back neg & colonoscopy was neg. gi doc is baffled. ideas?

Did the gastroenterologist think you had mucus colitis which can occur with irritable bowel syndrome? Have you had loose stools triggered by certain foods or stress? Since you don't have inflammatory bowel disease, parasites or other pathogens on stool examination, I wouldn't worry about your passing mucus in your bowel movements unless the amount of mucus is large.
