My husband, 63, received his 2nd moderna vaccine on saturday, 5 days ago. he suffered a very bad reaction to it, the following day had 103.5 fever, better now but has covid arm, why did this happen so severe? would he have gotten a bad case of virus?

His body is reacting to the vaccine. His immune system is very active. The relationship of such a reaction to vaccine and COVID disease severity has not been researched that I am aware.
