A member asked:

I took 3 shots of pfizer covid vaccine. my last shot was taken 1 year ago. i got covid now (fever, headache, congestion, cough - on my 3rd day). do i still have some protection from the vaccine to help me fighting the virus? is it still effective?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

After "one year" post-vaccine for COVID-19, infections can still occur, as the immunity conferred by the vaccine by antibody production may diminish, but any active recurrence should be limited, and severe respiratory complications generally absent.
