I had an anti-rabies booster shot last mar. 1, 2021. as of 5/17/21, i was scratched by my unvaccinated pet cat (allowed to roam outside) while giving him a bath, and i bled very slightly. should i get another anti-rabies shot? thank you very much :?

The protection from the usual anti-rabies post exposure shots is thought to last for 2 yrs before boosters are suggested in workers at risk. However, when anyone has a known exposure to a suspected rabid animal additional boosters are given. Local health authorities should be consulted to determine if rabies is active in the area.
