No need for shots: It is not possible for a kitten who has never been outside to get rabies. In order for a cat to get rabies, they must be bitten by a rabid animal. Also, rabies is transmitted in saliva of an infected animal and transmitted by a bite, not a scratch. As long as the kitten acts well and has never been bitten by a wild animal, there is no risk to you for rabies, so no need for shots.
