Lots and lots of possibilities - drugs (OTC, prescribed, “recreational” - very common even after all being “reviewed”), autoimmune, NASH, heart failure. Sounds like you’re very concerned about absolute numbers and ratios. More important question is whether its progressing or not

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, if your AST has been stable, and you do not have any symptoms. chalk it up to individual variation that is your normal. Wish you good health!
