Unexplained elevated liver enzymes (alt. ast, ggt) exhausted every possible cause. doctor says i must take statin. started one month ago. enzymes increases slightly. alt now at 87. baseline was 70. should statin be stopped ? gi says no and cardio -no?

I consider the cited ALT numbers to be within the normal variation of lab studies on the same person taken days or weeks apart. They are low enough that I would not consider them any evidence of liver irritation/injury. Jump the levels in to the several hundred range and I would take note.
