For years i've had pain 3" to the left & 3" down from my belly button. pain is dull, constant but if pressed, it's a sharp pain and radiates out in all directions. 3 days ago the pain got worse after a bowel movement and no relief yet. causes?

Most common in the described location sigmoid diverticula ( pockets that push out from the colon wall) may cause such pain. Sometimes they become inflamed and antibiotics are needed ( diverticulitis). Other origins for your pain are possible and seeing your doc is recommended if the pain persists.

Agree with Dr. P. It would be prudent to consult a GI specialist. S/he may recommend a colonoscopy for a definitive diagnosis. Wish you good health!
