Probably: It is unusual for a 16 year old to have serious constipation. The mass you feel could be stool but you could also have an umbilical (belly button ) hernia with a loop of intestine stuck out in it. You should see a physician soon. If it is not a hernia, you might just need a cathartic and a diet with more fiber.
