Taking cefdinir and clindamycin for infected cyst. er visit today with hives. dr. said no clindamycin. gave me prednisone 60mg, one dose tomorrow, also benadryl 25mg for 5 days. im concerned that cefdinir is all i can tolerate, surgery 5/11?

If you was taking Penicillin related drug such as Ampicillin, Cephalotin, etc. and you did not have rashes so I guess ER physician assumed you are allergic to Clindamycin. With infected cyst, Cefdinir alone can suppress the infection until you have the cyst taken care of.
