So it sounds as though you have recently had a tooth or teeth removed, after 24 hrs you should be rinsing with salt water 3 times daily and be seen by the doctor after a week. It takes about 3-4 weeks for the wounds to colse to the point where you are comfortable chewing crunchier food. Take your time, go gently.

If you’ve had teeth extracted in the back, it depends on the type of procedure/s you’ve had. You need to rinse with salt water after 24 hours every time you eat soft food that is not spicy or hot. Don’t eat crunchy food until the area looks healed. Be careful for the next 4 to 6 weeks and don’t eat crunchy food until the tissue in the area no longer has an open wound.
