Soft foods: You should eat soft foods, avoid hard chewy, spicy and acidic foods for a few days after an extraction. No smoking. Your dentist will give you post operative instructions.

No seeds...: Initially avoid hot temperatures (can cause bleeding); no drinking through a straw for 24 hours; avoid crunchy foods, as well as seeds or small particles such as rice--- they can get stuck in the socket...Talk to your dentist for the whole post-op protocol...
