Not related: But i wouldn't be too concerned about causing harm to the infection. If an active, acute infection, why wait two months? That makes no sense. If chronic, it's been there for months and has already been exposed to everything you've done while it was forming. You need a diagnosis to understand why an 'exploratory' surgical procedure is being done instead of an extraction, root canal or biopsy.

Dental problem treatment is easy for a dentist to determine. You need to see a dentist, oral surgeon or endodontist asap to perform the necessary treatment.
