I had a laparoscopy to check for endometriosis. during surgery they checked liver and said it had smooth edge. would laparoscopy rule out any liver disease or scarring from cirrhosis? only moderate drinking now, but used to social drink on weekends?

Liver disease and evidence of cirrhosis (unless severe ) is not generally visible via laparoscopy. Liver function tests (blood) or a liver ultrasound, CT or MRI imaging study will provide the best estimate of any signs of cirrhosis or other abnormalities.
