38 yr old south asian female i have thalassemia trait (minor) can having a ferritin blood test to check my iron stores affect the result ,like it does my full blood count test ? and do i need to advise the nurse taking the test i have trait ?

Thalassemia minor trait would not affect your ferritin results. You may let the nurse know, however, she would not be doing anything different for collecting blood sample due to your trait. Wish you good health!

The amount used for such testing has no significant effect on your blood supply. The nurse does not need the information to do the test.
