I recently had mono, 3 days of sore throat, and my doctor warned me about an enlarged spleen. i was wondering how long i should wait to go to the gym and if there is a way to check for an enlarged spleen myself?

If fairly large CT will see. If larger your Dr can feel it. If very large you can feel it. Place fingers at lower L rib cage. Take a really deep breath and you may feel a bump to your fingers from the spleen. But a spleen this big would be rare in mono. Discuss with your Dr. Go to uptodate.com and read more about Mono. I was diagnosed with mono on June 4th. I only had a sore throat and fatigue for about 2 weeks but after that Ive had persistent liver and spleen issues. Im completely better aside from those two. Is this indicative of worse issues or just natural?
