Taking "too much salt" is Not Good for most people most of the time. High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) is a big risk as well as Fluid retention ( Water swelling the feet, hands, face and other systems). Fluid retention actually increases weight not lose it. More important is why one is taking too much salt? Is it a craving? A frank discussion with the PCP will help answer one's question
