An average adult needs to consume about 1500 to 2,000 calories daily depending on the degree of physical activity(Exercise). So any calorie number under 1500 would be considered low calorie diet. As for Sodium, avoid adding extra salt at the dining table. Many preserved foods such as soups have excess of salt, so avoid them.. Cholesterol is mostly made by your liver so diet has minor effect.
