Depends on...: lots of factors, including but not limited to: baseline weight, percentage body fat, level of activity, amount of protein and calories in the diet, other. Initial weight loss includes relatively lots of fluid loss ( due to protein metabolism and waste removal). "Hard" part comes later, slower. Such diets can cause lots of fluid and electrolyte (blood chemistry) problems- need medical supervision
