It's very likely that it is fracture, especially if your pinky toe's position was changed after the injury. This type of fracture is commonly referred to a "bed post fracture" and is either a rupture of the joint capsule leading to change in position of the bone or a fracture of one of the bones in the foot. X-rays are the best way to differentiate between a fracture versus joint capsule injury.

It is hard to know for sure. This would really require an xray to confirm diagnosis. Most small toe fractures will heal without much intervention.
