68 year old diabetic female fractured ankles 4 years ago. Had surgery on ankles. Until today she does not feel sensation in the surgery site. What is wrong? Is this a serious problem? Her foot is deformed and stiff after surgery.Walks with limp now?

I have done a Thompson's test on my foot after an injury in October it seems positive.I cannot stand on my toes..xray shows no fracture..4 months now. I still cannot walk and pain though moderate is always present..please help?
