I suspect i fractured my small toe 5 years ago, i feel pain when i walk barefoot on the bone underneath the toe and this causes me to shift my weight onto the other side of my foot. problem is not as bad when i wear tackies or shoes ?

A poorly healed fracture may result in long term pain or discomfort. Please see your PCP and discuss an imaging study to further revaluate. Usually if there is swelling, a local cool compress may be applied.
