A member asked:

Can you have pancreatitis with normal blood test levels? or will lipase and amylase be elevated? how would it be diagnosed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Amylase and: lipase are elevated in pancreatitis. If the blood levels of these enzymes are normal, you do not have panreatitis. See this site for more info. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/pancreatitis/basics/definition/con-20028421
