A member asked:

Hi. i had covid in early may last year. every month i test for antibodies. i've still got strong igg antibodies, last test completed today 20mar'21. is it likely that i was reinfected or can antibodies last that long. just over 10 months now. thanks?

I hope they do last at least a year or longer. The condition needs to have been around for a few years for us to gather realistic data. The data I review cites re-infection as relatively uncommon.

This is still an active area of research. We are not sure how long immune response from infection lasts.
