A member asked:

Ultrasound tech report: twin as placenta is anterior with a portion that appears to wrap posterior along the lateral aspect of the uterus. there is also a small amount of blood clot overlying the cervix does this mean im going to lose my babies?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

With location of "twin A's placenta" showing a portion overlying the cervical canal, it is common for bleeding to occur (producing a clot "overlying the cervix"). Uterine contractions can separate a portion of the placenta, causing the "clot", but the placenta has suitable reserve. See your OB and get a referral to a MFM OB MD.
