A member asked:

I'm 4 months pregnant, sonogram shows "low lying posterior marginalis placenta", they told me the placenta will go up as uterus will grow, i also experienced bleeding until the second month, will my pregnancy be safe? and placenta will go up?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe. The placental location can change some during pregnancy. It can move up and away from the outlet as it increases in size. It can also stay low, cross over the outlet and require a scheduled c-section to avoid a catastrophic delivery. The bleeding may be related and stopping is a good sign the pregnancy could proceed to term.
