I have a bruised rib and potentially pulled a muscle in the same area. my ct scan showed no breaks or bleeding. i vomited this morning bc of something unrelated and my muscles are now spasming and i'm in a lot of pain. what should i do?

Chest wall injury. Ice cubes in a Ziploc bag placed directly on the skin of your chest for a 20 minute period, repeat every 1-2 hours and alternating with moist heat for the same time. In addition you can use an over-the-counter ointment like Voltaren or capsaicin to help reduce the inflammation and pain. These injuries usually take approximately 6 weeks to heal.
