Long term exposure to Oil paints and Solvents in a non ventilated area can cause headaches, breathing problems, and chronic central nervous system problems. A short exposure is unlikely to cause any problems while you are pregnant. Prolonged solvent exposure has been linked to birth defects in pregnant women. Make sure you ventilate that room and the home well before baby.
