No worries: The odor is added to propane and methane natural gasses to let people know when unburnt gas is in the air. A little bit of propane or methane odor is harmless. Whenever one smells that odor, one just needs to identify the source of the gas odor and decide what to do... such as relight the pilot light, turn off the gas, light the gas and use it, or run away to call 911. In general, no worries.
