I have a small chip on my tooth and my dentist has never said anything.(i've had it for about two years.) it has been hurting recently. could something have happened to it? and should i be worried?

A small chip on which tooth? And does that tooth already have a filling? That chip may just be the tip of the iceberg. If the tooth is hurting you, see your dentist and point it out.

See our Dentist ASAP.Possible when ou chipped the tooth that additional damage was done. Tooth has to be examined and vitality tested. A new x-ray of the tooth, that can be compared to your base-line x-rays, should be taken.
