My son had a fever yesterday at 11 am and i gave him motrin then tylenol so as 9 pm he had no fever. he woke up this morning with 101 fever. is is normal to go away for a short time and come back? he just got over covid 2 weeks ago so its not that?

Low grade fever like 101 is common for many viral & bacterial infections. I rarely treat unless the kid feels bad. I would monitor the progress over time & see what happens. It may be another minor illness or an emerging bacterial infection. Time will tell.
