Congestion: Any over the counter anti-histamine/allergy medication such as loratadine (Claritin), cetirizine (Zyrtec) or levocetizine (Xyzal) can be taken for relief. If there is a lot of nasal drainage, you can also use fluticasone (Flonase) nasal spray, or similar steroid nasal sprays (Nasacort, Nasonex, Rhinocort). If the nasal passages feel blocked, try saline nasal rinses.

COVID 19: There really isn't a best treatment. Make sure to quarantine. Rest, hydration, acetaminophen, decongestant, cough med & nasal saline irrigation may help symptoms. If NSAIDS are used consider Naprosyn. Consider use of Vitamins C, D, B complex & zinc. Get emergency care for difficulty breathing, blue lips or face, significant & persistent chest pain or new-onset of confusion.
