Recently had a routine std check and didnt expect much. labcorp results came back and said i had an index value of 3.42 for the hsv-2 test. this qualifies as the low positive range. is it likely a false positive; especially with no symptoms?

Probably: Index value of 3.42 is borderline positive, borderline negative, depending lab. Probably doesn’t mean much but should be discussed in greater depth with an Infectious Diseases doctor
