Std panel all came negative except hsv-1 igg- high positive(22.5). hsv-2 igg negative. i have no symptoms or any outbreaks ever. hsv-1 can still spread by shedding. cdc doesn't recommend test if no symptoms. do you think i shouldn't have tested?

Sometimes testing is recommended even if no symptoms. Your positive result HSV1 result shows you are infected with HSV1 and cannot catch it again. You need do nothing now except be aware of the potential for an outbreak of oral herpes (cold sores) or, less likely, genital herpes. There will be little or no chance of infecting anyone else unless and until you have a visible outbreak.
