Need actual HIV test: It is unlikely the clinic would have tested you for HIV without telling you, and routine lab tests would not include HIV antigens and will give no useful information about the possibility of HIV. If you are concerned about HIV or STDs, you need to discuss it with the clinic and request testing. But if it was an NHS GUM clinic, STD/HIV testing probably WAS done. Call the clinic and ask!

Not necessarily: The laboratory will only test the blood for the items ordered by your doctor. If an HIV test is not ordered, the lab will not test for HIV. If you have any concern, you may ask your doctor for the HIV test. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.
