I had the following test done my c reactive protein was elevated 6.0 8 was cutoff and my esr was 6 which is normal 20 my last crp was 2.5 back in november all cbc labs normal what caused the slight crp elevation?

Normal results: Both your CRP results were normal & slight change within normal limits is also normal as is your ESR. There does not need to be cause because both test are normal. Nowadays, we tend to orer just CRP without ESR as it is probably more accurate measure of inflammation, easier to perform & both usually move in tandem.
