A 61-year-old male asked:

Good evening doctors! how often should a patient with high blood pressure (takes metoprolol er and losartan) heart issues (takes plavix), and high cholesterol (controlled by medication-rosuvastatin) get bloodwork/blood tests and heart tests/imaging?

Heart testing : It depends on the patient. We base heart tests and imaging on the clinical picture. We should not be ordering tests when not needed. We should see most patients on these medications in person with lab tests at least every 6 months.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
