Unclear: Your A-1C is borderline and may not be indicative of diabetes. Since the area of pre-diabetes and conclusive diabetes can be somewhat daunting, an endocrinologist may be useful. Work with your primary doctor and decide how to proceed if emerging symptoms compel.
