1 year before my pregnancy, my a1c was 5.9 with 86 fasting glucose. than, 1 month before i got pregnant, my a1c was 5.6 with fasting glucose of 76. are my chances of gestational diabetes very high with these numbers?

Hgb A1c: Your hgb A1c of 5.9 would be considered to represent prediabetes by some clinicians. Prediabetes presents high risk for gestational diabetes. Following the blood sugars carefully during pregnancy in the prediabetic woman is important. A goal is a fasting glucose of 100 or less.
