Simple answer...yes: Yes. That is exactly what you should expect with these tests. Once you are no longer symptomatic and have developed antibodies to the virus infection you should show negative to the COVID-19 tests Now having said that they are still learning new things about this virus.

Depends on timing: The PCR picks up on active infection & the antibody serology test picks up on past infections. So the answer is that this can happen depending on timing.
