A member asked:

I took both the doses of covid vaccine a month ago. now if i do my blood work will the corona virus antibody test come positive to make sure the vaccine is working? if it comes negative that means vaccine will not work?

CDC.gov specifically recommend against doing that, because the measure of antibody for the disease is different from that of the vaccine. If you go to a regular lab they would be measuring the antibody for those that had the disease and would not be valuable in deciding immunity. Why are you concerned to the extent you want to measure the antibody level? The efficacy of vaccines is more than 90%.

There is no need to do the test. There is no standard interpretation of the results if you get the test. You are protected from Covid infection and dong the test will not add any value. Wish you good health!
